How to use
TomTom MyDrive for navigation?
Before
explaining how to use the TomTom my drive here is what you can do with it. You
can add POI (Points of Interest), your active destination, favourite places.
You can sync all this information to your device.
This also helps
when there is a need to reset the device, you just have to log into the account
and sync the data.
To use TomTomMyDrive you should have the latest software package installed in the GPS
device.
Transferring
the information to your device is slightly different for different models. If
you have TomTom Go and Rider models then you need to connect your GPS device to
the internet via your computer or smartphone using the USB cable provided with
the box.
For TomTom
Start models you need to connect your GPS device to the computer by the USB
cable. It does not support internet connectivity via smartphone.
You will need
at least 400 MB of free memory on your GPS device if you want to sync your
device with the TomTom MyDrive. If you don’t have enough space on the device
then you POI data will not sync. You can check for the amount of available
space by going to the Help section.
The amount of
time taken for the data to sync depends totally on the size of the file. Our
recommendation is to do this process before the journey to save time.
